As a young girl I could often be found styling my dolls or trying to convince my parents that I needed a new outfit!  My love of learning and social nature drew me to the education profession.  I received my B Ed followed by a Masters of Language and Literacy at UBC.  

My love of fashion and style eventually served me well when it came to building a professional wardrobe.  At first, I dressed how I believed a teacher should dress (which ended up in me wearing a lot of cardigan sets and neutral colours!). Over time, I figured out that I could look professional while still expressing my own personal style. Often asked to accompany others on shopping excursions, I realized I could combine my teaching skills and love of style to help people learn how to create wardrobes full of clothing they love to wear (and know HOW to wear, multiple ways).  This idea led me on an exciting adventure to New York City where I trained as a Style Consultant at the Image Resource Center of New York.  Following that certification, I had the incredible opportunity to return to NYC to take part in the Style For Hire intensive Stylist training program, designed and facilitated by Stacy London of TLC’s What Not To Wear.  

I am a lifelong learner and continue to educate myself in order to best serve my clients.  Other coursework includes:  Menswear Training with Samantha Brown in NYC, courses with The Paid Stylist, Masterclasses with the Personal Stylist Network, continued education with Carol Davidson (master stylist and FIT instructor in New York City) as well as a virtual styling program offered through the Style Core which included instruction from leading image expert, Carla Mathis.

I feel so fortunate to share my love of literacy with students in my work as a teacher-librarian and that I am able to also share my passion for personal style with my clients.  We all need to get dressed,  my goal is to make it easier...and a lot more fun!
